We would like to invite you to the Board of Agile Testers Peer Conference, which will be held on August 21 – 22 in Driebergen, The Netherlands.
The central theme of this edition of the conference is Hands-on Agile Testing.
We are all part of an evolving movement and our world is still rapidly changing. We are craftsman and we developed the skills required to do our work in the most efficient or practical way. We experience bigger and smaller problems and find solutions and tools to deal with them. Each project we do we’re confronted with different environmental, domain specific or technical constraints that demand a solution. Sometimes we find a solution only fit for a particular problem, sometimes we find tools or techniques that stick with us for years.
During this conference we would like to focus on these experiences and share them, not only in word but by actually practising them.
Here are some questions questions that might give some focus for your topic:
- Have you developed a specialism or invented a tool?
- Have you developed or adopted a specific method or technique?
- What tool or technique have you recently discovered that makes your work a lot easier?
- What tool or technique saves you an incredible amount of time in your daily routine?
- What kind of tool or techniques gave you new insights or visibility options?
Attendees are asked to prepare a presentation or workshop of about 45 to 60 minutes.
The first day all attendees get a chance to pitch their topic in a 5 to 10 minute introduction. All topics will be evaluated and prioritised by the attendees. The program of the conference will be based on this priority.
With your input day two will be packed with interactive sessions in which participants can learn and experience new techniques.
We keep the structure of the conference intentionally flexible, so that if we want to follow a train of thought, we can develop it in a variety of ways, such as having brainstorm or breakout sessions. Be prepared that due to time constraints not all prepared topics can be presented.
If you are interested to participate in this peer workshop, please send us a description of your topic and the confirmation of your attendance to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Be aware that this conference is by invitation only and is limited to a maximum of 20 attendees (you are welcome to suggest participants to us).
